Sand River Landscaping is looking for an experienced Landscape Foreman to join our team. We’re looking for someone who understands both softscape and hardscape projects, can confidently lead a small crew, and knows how to keep a project moving when unexpected challenges come up.


If you have hands-on landscaping experience, are comfortable operating equipment, and take pride in a job well done, we’d like to hear from you.

As a Landscape Foreman, you’ll work alongside and oversee a small crew of approximately 2–3 people. You’ll be responsible for completing landscaping projects efficiently while maintaining clear communication with both our office and our customers.


We need someone who can think on their feet. If an unexpected issue comes up in the middle of a project, you should be able to assess the situation, determine a practical solution, and communicate what needs to happen next. This includes letting the office and customer know when unforeseen circumstances may require additional work or charges.

Landscape Foreman – $25/Hour

Landscaping Experience We're Looking For

Candidates should have hands-on experience with the installation and tear-out of both softscape and hardscape features, including:

Planting

Mulch installation

Grading

Sod installation

French drains

Paver patios

Retaining walls

Experience managing a small landscaping crew is also required.

  • Equipment & Driving Experience

    This is a hands-on position, so candidates should be comfortable working with landscaping vehicles and larger equipment.


    Applicants should be legally able to drive a company vehicle and obtain or maintain the required chauffeur's license. Experience operating equipment such as Kubota tractors, skid steers and Dingo mini-loaders is also important.


    Because our work continues through the winter, candidates should also have experience operating a plow truck for snow removal.

  • Schedule

    Our typical working hours are:


    • Monday–Friday: 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
    • Saturday: As needed

    Applicants should be prepared for occasional Saturday work depending on project schedules and seasonal needs.

  • Pay & Employee Benefits

    Starting Pay: $25/hour


    Sand River Landscaping also offers employee benefits and incentives, including:

    Paid holidays include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.


    The entire staff also receives Black Friday off as an approved unpaid day off.

Landscaping projects don't always go exactly according to plan. Conditions can change once a project is underway, and we want someone who can respond professionally instead of waiting for someone else to solve the problem.


The right candidate will be able to step back, evaluate the overall project, identify a reasonable solution and communicate clearly with everyone involved. We're looking for someone who can balance leadership, hands-on work and customer communication while helping their crew complete quality work.
